Helo is an independent, non-commercial directory helping people discover Cardiff businesses.
Who’s responsible
I’m Jad El Omeiri, based in Cardiff. I operate Helo personally and am responsible for how it uses personal information. Contact me using the email below.

What information Helo uses
Listings include business names, locations, contact details, links and descriptions. Information comes from owners, visitors, business directories and public business websites. Some details identify individuals, particularly sole traders.
Listing requests include business details, a required email and an optional link. Corrections include the affected business or page, your message and an optional email. Submitting either form is voluntary.
Website visits involve technical information such as your IP address, browser details and requested pages.
Why it’s used
I use information to maintain the directory, review suggestions, investigate corrections, reply when needed and protect Helo from misuse. A person reviews listing decisions.
I rely on legitimate interests to maintain the directory, respond to requests and keep the website secure, while respecting people's privacy rights.
Private form submissions are not used to send marketing messages or promote other services.
Sharing information
Published business information is available to visitors and search engines. I use providers for website hosting, data storage, security and email. Form submissions reach my inbox for review and follow-up.
Providers may handle information outside the UK, including in the United States for email delivery. Contact me for details of relevant countries and transfer safeguards. External business links lead to services with their own privacy practices.
How long information is needed
Submission details are needed to resolve a request, complete necessary follow-up or retain a necessary record of a correction or dispute. Business information remains relevant while it supports an accurate directory. I delete personal information when it's no longer needed for the purpose it was collected.
Security records and backup copies have separate lifetimes, depending on their purpose and the provider’s retention arrangements.
Your rights
Email me to request access to your personal information, correction, deletion or limits on its use. Identifiable business owners can also use the correction form below to request changes or removal. Please share only what is needed. Rights have conditions and exceptions.
You can raise concerns with me and complain to the ICO, the UK data protection regulator, using the link below.
You can object
You can object to use based on legitimate interests because of your particular situation. Email me explaining which use concerns you and why.
